Are you a foster parent or relative caregiver for a Los Angeles County foster child? Did you know you have the right to “attend” children’s court hearings remotely, by phone or Webex?

  • by

Caregivers of foster children are entitled to receive advance written notice of children’s court hearings, and notices must contain clear instructions for how you can attend the hearing remotely, via Webex or phone, during the COVID-19 pandemic. This new requirement, negotiated by our law office, was ordered by the civil court in Los Angeles, in Sept. 2020.

We want to hear from you if you have not been receiving Webex and telephone instructions, which must be printed on hearing notices.  To share your experience, or to obtain a copy of the court order click “Contact Us” or email us at ddentler@fosterparentlawyer.com
